Appreciate Your Mind - Dec. 25, 2010
For the Christmas show, Brian interviews Valerie Tarico, the author of "Trusting Doubt: A Former Evangelical Looks at Old Beliefs in a New Light
." She is also the former director of the Children's Behavior and Learning Clinic in Bellevue, Washington. Her articles can be found regularly in the Green and Religion sections of the Huffington Post. She is the founder of www.WisdomCommons.org, an interactive library of quotes, stories, proverbs and poems that showcase humanity's shared moral core. Her website is www.valerietarico.com and is where you can find a link to her book. Her blog is awaypoint.wordpress.com where you can find the other materials mentioned on the program. We not only discuss her book but some of the items in her list of things non-believers can do to help deal with religious holidays.
Music from Bad Religion and Metal Church, along with something from Youtube artist The Non-Stamp Collector are featured.
The show is heard live on KNDS, 96.3 FM in Fargo, ND on Saturdays at 11 a.m. Central time and can be streamed live at www.kndsradio.com. The Facebook page is found here. A weekly column Brian writes for Secular News Daily can be found here.
